head1

My daughter has been a vegetarian since she was 6 years old. She is now in her 40's and still a vegetarian.

She decided that meat was not for her, and, I , as her mother, learned how to adapt and serve meat and 3 vege to the rest of the family, along with my daughter's need to avoid animal flesh.

At the beginning it was difficult. Serving meatless meals was a walk in the park after a few short months and I managed to keep the hubby happy and the daughter happy by just knowing my way around a kitchen.

For myself, I had clear goals: to have a harmonious and well nourished and well loved family unit. It is all I ever wanted.

That my daughter chose not to eat meat was not an issue. I simply learned to provide her protein through soybeans and lentils and also turn them in to dishes that my meat eating family would also enjoy.

If we went to a BBQ, I made some walnut patties for " Binkie " and the rest of us would have our beef burgers. No big deal. After all, it took me 5 minutes to grind some walnuts, whoosh some sourdough breadcrumbs and add a few bits and pieces to give her the pattie that she enjoyed whilst we noshed on with our beef.

What was the big deal?

Why is it that people today seem to think that being a vegetarian or a vegan is somewhow a life altering decision that impacts on other people? Why should my daughter's decision require the rest of us to suddenly stop eating meat? They have to superglue themselves to pavements, disrupt traffic and destroy people's lives to get their message across.

It was HER decision. As it was mine to continue to eat meat. I confess that my meat eating is way down these days. Not because of my daughter lecturing me or threathening to ban me from her life - no, because of two things: price and halal.

I cannot and will not eat meat that has been slaughtered by horrific, barbaric practices imported from a third world mentality and imposed upon me by people who have no love or regard for the animals over which we have dominion. Please bear in mind that having Dominion over anyone or anything means not just control but also responsibility.

Genesis 1:26

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Bear in mind that dominion means service, responsibility, and stewardship.

Are we not, as a Christian Nation, denying our dominion of service, responsibility and stewardship?  Should we not stop the rape of our animals? The horrific, cruel and terror ridden killing of the animals over which we have dominion? If the vegans truly felt as passionately as they make out, surely they would be campaigning against those halal slaughter houses?  Which, in Australia, is almost every single one?

This vegan activism has nothing to do with dietary choices. It is simply another weapon of the Left to disrupt and destroy decency.

How low can they go? They ignore the reality to promote a political point of view.

Service, Responsibility, and Stewardship.

Why is Islam off limits and able to do whatever it wants?

Why?

When you can answer that question, you will have the answer to pretty much everything going on in the world today.
