Can you help keep Patriotrealm on line?

Some time ago , Raymond F Peters passed from this life into a new realm. One that embraces his love of life, decency and all that is worthwhile.  He retired from writing not too long ago and here we have the recognition of Shaydee's father passing.

I had not intended to ever post this. But it just feels right.

This dear man gave so much and asked for so little. He used to say that all he wanted was a bit of love and tenderness. Which he received in spades from his family.

He wrote here and his words were those of wisdom, insight and passionate belief in all that is good and worthy.  He was and will always be a man… a MAN.

Raymond F Peters was pure male. He was your father, your brother, your cousin, your Uncle and your SELF. He stood for all decent men and all men who cared about their wives, daughters and female relatives. He cared about men and the young men who would come after him.

" Raymond F Peters was pure male. He was your father, your brother, your cousin, your Uncle and your SELF. He stood for all decent men and all men who cared about their wives, daughters and female relatives. He cared about men and the young men who would come after him.

He was and is a man among men and someone who will drift into obscurity because, after all, he was only a man.

Today, men are humiliated, castigated, down trodden and penalised for simply being men. A man like Raymond would not survive in todays enlightened world and neither would he wish to.

Perhaps that is why he has left us? Maybe he just said “ you have made this mess, I tried to help you fix it but you didn’t listen. Time for you to settle it for yourself. “

And, like the dolphins said in Douglas Adam’s book when the dolphins left planet Earth “ So long and thanks for all the fish. “

There has been so much hatred of the older folk in the world today. So much hatred of the new born and the yet to be born. Everything seems to be about the me meme generation. Old people are a drain on the social purse. Babies are commodities that exist or die, depending upon how much their body parts are worth. "

My writer, Raymond F Peters, wrote from his heart, his soul and his inner passion. He was a MAN.

The last time I saw him was a few months ago. He was bright, happy and in a wheelchair. But he took a fall in a shower, in the high end hospital that he found himself in. He had been left alone and he died a few days later.

Despite instructions that he was not to be rescusitated, he was brought back from death and, with broken ribs and in terrible pain, he died. Again.

How a man who had lived his life with such dignity could leave this earth as such an injured and pain ridden body seems somehow wrong.

Raymond died, holding his son’s hand, and his heart slowed from a steady beat to a gentle pulse and it quietly slowed and eventually stopped.

I will never forget this decent and God loving man. This man that supported his family and stood up for what was right and good.

As these people pass on we must look and consider: for each Raymond F Peters that dies, who is replacing him? "

Think about it.

RIP my dear and beloved Raymond F Peters. You are truly and will always be a man among men.
