I was driving home today when I remembered a phrase I had heard/said many years ago. “Life really sucks BUT the alternative sucks worse”.
The present state of the Planet can easily lead all the residents thereof to believe that Life and the Future really sucks.
However, we must all consider that regardless of how bad today seems, as long as you are still standing on the Planet with your butt facing south, there is always a tomorrow.
Focusing on how “bad” things are is a tool of the MSM, holier than thou sports and TV personalities and politicians, who spend their lives with their heads stuffed in their orifice with their own fecal matter. (Trying to politely say with their heads up their butts).
Try a simple exercise. Pick a window in your home. Go there and look out. Focus on anything that interests you.
A plant,a leaf, a bird, a cloud or even the clear blue sky. Take a deep breath and let it out.
Now, consider just how special you are. Don’t believe me? Consider that the actual, specific sight you are seeing right now has never been seen before, in the History of the Universe, and will never be seen again before time itself comes to an end.
So how special are you to have been present and to have seen that one very special sight. Now consider that every waking moment of your life you are special enough to observe every one of those special moments.
Maybe life doesn’t really suck that bad, does it?
